May the 4th be with You!!

    Earlier this year my wife, the Lady Captain, and I had the wonderful opportunity to go visit New York City. While we were visiting the city on important matters, we also had the opportunity to be tourists as well. It was the first time the Lady Captain had seen the city and so we wandered the streets as soon as the first opportunity allowed, happily cloaked in our obvious roles as 'tourists.'

   We were of course treated to many wonderful sights, but sharing those vacation pictures is not the point of todays post. However there was something we ran across that is pertinent to the day. It was a display of original costumes and props from the Star Wars films on loan from the Smithsonian. Of course we went to see it, and since they allowed photography, I was able to capture these images to share with you. I hope they are fun for my friends who are fans, and perhaps useful to any pals who cosplay.
